Community-centred
Our services are for the community, by the community, and we champion the importance of local service provision that is informed, effective and compassionate. We hope together we can make a difference, working towards an inclusive society for all those we support and represent. We aim to provide services that are as diverse as the communities accessing them.
Our Approach
- Peer-to-peer
- Person-centered
- Collaborative
Our Objectives
- To relieve the mental and emotional suffering of people in Norfolk & Waveney who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT+) or in doubt about their sexuality or gender identity, by the provision of advice, peer-support and information in our operational area of Norfolk and Waveney.
- The preservation and protection of public health, in particular amongst LGBT+ people, by raising awareness and providing information about matters that affect their physical, mental and sexual health in our operational area of Norfolk and Waveney.
Our Ethos
We want to ensure all involved feel valued and respected and that we are an organisation that celebrates diversity. We make sure that all duties carried out on behalf of the project are done so with professionalism, sincerity and accountability should challenges arise. We are committed to providing friendly, approachable spaces that are led by our members and that always act in the best interests of those accessing our services. We value feedback on our services: this allows us to evaluate and continually work to improve our community impact.
